Electronic Ignition Question

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, I am always having trouble with the points in my 7016H. It has the 16hp Briggs model# 326437 type 0252-01 code 7808041. Can these be changed over to electronic ignition? If so how hard is it to do? would I have to have the flywheel repolarized? I have done a lot of searching and can't find much info. Any help would be great. Thanks, Neil

Hi Neil, you would not need to have the flywheel repolarized with this electronic ignition module and if you remove the condensor it will fit under the points cover. I have them on all my Briggs and haven`t had any trouble yet. Here is a link to one on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ELECTRONIC-IGNITION-FOR-MINIBIKE-KART-MOWER_W0QQitemZ7731050182QQcategoryZ50377QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
