nrallen Posted December 11, 2005 Posted December 11, 2005 Hi everyone, I am always having trouble with the points in my 7016H. It has the 16hp Briggs model# 326437 type 0252-01 code 7808041. Can these be changed over to electronic ignition? If so how hard is it to do? would I have to have the flywheel repolarized? I have done a lot of searching and can't find much info. Any help would be great. Thanks, Neil
RayS Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 Hi Neil, you would not need to have the flywheel repolarized with this electronic ignition module and if you remove the condensor it will fit under the points cover. I have them on all my Briggs and haven`t had any trouble yet. Here is a link to one on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ELECTRONIC-IGNITION-FOR-MINIBIKE-KART-MOWER_W0QQitemZ7731050182QQcategoryZ50377QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Terry_Hart Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 Will this work on a Kohler 16 hp single?
BLT Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 quote:Originally posted by Terry_Hart Will this work on a Kohler 16 hp single? Only if you have an internal magneto. It won't work with battery operated igniton systems.
