msiebern Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 There have been several posts lately about what the wives would and wouldn't tolerate. You just have to find the thing that makes them as happy as your tractors do you, offer it to them, and then relate that your tractors bring the same happiness to you, and after all, don't they want you to be happy too? My wife really enjoys riding on a certrain 2 HP model, so today I took her out and went riding with her. OK... So they weren't Simplicities, but they do a pretty good job of cutting the grass and she didin't complain when I told here I was looking at another tractor :D:D
john-holcomb Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 My wife has about 100+ [no joke] antique dolls. It seems that when a new tractor follows me home a new doll or two shows up. I works out good for us its an investment in the future. i think. Nice horses and sleigh, but remember tractors and dolls don't poop and they don't eat. LOL
oldone Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 Now I can see way you would need a plow or snowblower. Hate to see those horses get stuck getting out of the barn! :D:D
Roy Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 Those live horses are dangerous on both ends and slippery in the middle. Horses beneath the hood are much safer. :D Despite the above, you are lucky to have such a beautiful set up (horses and sleigh).
ka9bxg Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 Nice thing about a tractor is you can turn them off and nothing to do when they are off. That was one of my dad's favorite sayings. When he was young he had to take care of them and work with them.
RayS Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 My wife doesn`t complain about my tractors. I must be lucky I guess.
tanman722001 Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 My wife dont complain she either. She drive them and helps me work on them too.So I guess I'm really lucky
comet66 Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 I'd call that a perfect excuse for a loader tractor!!:D:D:D My wife likes my tractors, because they keep me out in the shop.[:0][:0] I don't understand why..?..but if it makes her happy that's all that counts I guess.;);)
SmilinSam Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 quote:Keeping the wife happy! ! IMPOSSIBLE ! :D:D:D
MPH Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 "My wife likes my tractors, because they keep me out in the shop" Maybe it's because that way she knows where you are John.:D

I have come closer to getting hurt on my tractors than working with the live horses. BTW, I should have clarified the horses in the pictures are from a farm/ranch near us. Our hayburners aren't quite that big, but a pair like these are at the top of the wife's want list. Kinda like my B-110 but at the top of my list is a Power-Max or 720. I have a feeling that I will get my 720 after she gets the draft horses:( Come to think of it, they would make a great excuse for a loader!
AGCO918 Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 Those horses are Beautiful,as well as the sleigh.I would love to have a team of draft horses.Just need a farm with about 100 acres to make it happen.
