Found an AC today. Looks kinda like a B-10 or B-12. The tractor did not have any B type markings and could not read serial #. The tractor was orange and white, had the pull rope pulley on the bevel gear housing. It did have AC markings and did have Allis-Chalmer stripes on it. Any ideas? Ryan

Ryan: Need more information. Can you find an ID tag on the engine? If so the numbers might be helpful if it is the original engine. Describe how the hood is held on. Describe what the grill looks like. Describe the front tire tread.

Wouldn't think it was a Homesteader -- they were vertical shaft engines like the B-206, 207 and 208 -- in fact I think they were just later versions of those same tractors. Could it have been repainted orange and white? Other than the orange and cream 300/400's, I thought all orange ones were a solid orange other than the decals. Some decals are black and white. I could certainly be mistaken....
