tec2484 1 Posted December 31, 2005 I have a 16LTH (#1691807) and would like to up grade the front wheel bushings to bearings. The manual calls for bushing # 1579713. I'm also going to do the thrust bearing up grade that Tom (powerking_one) showed us. I'm making a home made johnny bucket (it may end up being a mini loader before I get done) for the 16LTH. Thsnks for any help and any sugestions. George
MPH 12 Posted December 31, 2005 Not sure what a 16LTH compares too but the simplist way would be find a front axle with bearingsa and swap it out. To put bearings on yours think you would need new spindals and rims at least.
firefoxz1 4 Posted January 1, 2006 What is the thickness of the axle? 1", 3/4"? I don't know if this helps but the new substitute # is 1713167 also the orig# was 1679713 according to parts look-up, neither of which I have specs on.
tec2484 1 Posted January 1, 2006 I think they are 3/4" I will measure when I head to the barn in a little bit. Yes they are 3/4 spindels. I found roller bearing from 3/4 wide to 3" wide that would fit inter and outer specs but I'm worried about side to side thrust on a flat roller bearing.
