Roy 0 Posted January 2, 2006 Attached photos are of a liftable trailer ball hitch bracket I made from the fixed bracket that came with my 725. I liked Rod H's liftable bracket so I made a similar one. His is better since it keeps the ball vertical but mine will work for my purposes (to save my back). Two pictures below are of the original bracket. There pictures are of the finished product. Hitch is shown raised. The arm on the top left is to keep the hitch from pivoting into the tractor when the trailer is going down hill or I am stopping. HubbardRA 19 Posted January 3, 2006 Arghhh!!! I created a monster. Give me back those coat hangers. :D:D:D Great job Roy!! Not quite as versatile as the one I built, but much easier to fabricate. Keep up the good work. Nice welding with that gas outfit.
Roy 0 Posted January 3, 2006 Thanks gang. :) I still have plenty of coat hangers left. Gas welding is OK but I'm looking for an arc welder I can afford for the heavy stuff. Torches are great for cutting, heating, & bending.
dcw06 0 Posted January 15, 2006 I like stop that you added to keep it from raising up.That's my biggest complaint when using the hitch I made, going to have to look into that. Dave.
