Can anyone tell me what this small hitch is for? I got it with a 42" plow I bought off E-Bay, seller didn't know and I'm curious. It's short but won't fit my Broadmoors. 8.5 inches from center of ear to center of ear, 14" from center of kingpin hole to center of mounting holes.

It looks like my Broadmoor hitch, but you are missing the other half of it, where it attatches in 4 places with pins to the tractor. I'll look for a pic.

it is for a Broadmoor. There is another part that is missing. The missing peice pins to the tractor, and then that frame uses a long pin to attach to the missing frame. That pivots on the missing part. wow I hope someone can understand what I just wrote! I'm not sure I do anymore! lol I'm sure some one has a pic of the complete hitch. Elon

Elon, I understand what you wrote but it helped to read Patrick's post first. That makes sense being it is so short that there would be a piece missing. I swore I resized that photo for posting here. I will have to fix that.

I think patrick is correct.I have three broadmoor hitches and it looks and sounds like the same size as half of mine.

Joseph, Thank You for looking. I you find it and want to get rid of it just repost here or send a PM. Roy, as a back-up could you sent me a sketch? Thanks. I can see where it mounts which would give me a very good idea how to make it with out a sketch but that would definitly help.

Step one in making the rest of the hitch. I think this was the easy part?? I did get the 1/2 inch rod yet so I through a 3/8 ext through it to see what it looked like.

TOM, That u-shaped piece on the left end of the longer hitch (top one) shown in your original post is the part I have left over after putting my blade on the Landlord. The one I have has a 5/8 or 3/4 bent rod welded to it that isn't shown in your picture but it might just be out of view under the u-shaped piece. Is that the piece you need? Jim

I made the hanger parts yesterday:D but took some measurements and need to make some adjustments:(. Question: What should the height off the ground be for the center of the long hitch pivot pin between the two peices? Should the hitch pitch up, down or level toward the tractor? Mine ends up at 4.75 which would pitch it down. At level it seems that it should be 6, 6.25 or somewhere there abouts. This is going to stay on this particular Broadmoor so I'm going to adjust it just for this one:).

Thom, Cannot help you on this. I measured the hitch I have but do not have a Broadmoor and have never seen the hitch mounted on one. Maybe someone else can help. I did use the hitch on my B-1 but may have modified it to fit (CRS; don't remember). If no one steps up with an answer I can put the hitch on the B-1 and come up with answers for you.

OK, Finished with the construction of the parts and will only need final painting and one additional hole drilled in the hangers to acheive the height I want for the hitch. The two hangers are made with thicker and wider steel than what Roy (Thank You) said the originals where made from because I had to use what I had available, basicly what the main u is made from, 3/8x1-1/2" stock. And yes after priming up the plow hitch and assembling it for these pics it appears the original primed part is twisted a bit. A little more work:(

Finished, straightened, and mounted.. I pitched the hitch slightly up for a little downforce when scraping and if I reinstall the skids it should be about level for regular pushing. Don't know if this was the same as factory or not. NOW.. I forgot about a lift rod. Can anyone help with a picture and/or scematic dimensions of the lift rod. This is a 42" plow on a 738 Broadmoor. Thanks.
