Clean the contacts and it might surprise you if a coil isn't burnt out.

As Maynard said, clean it out w/ some compressed air and clean the points and try it. It might just go to working.

At least yours was in better shape than mine. Removing the cover released a minor cloud of rust in mine. Wasn't much under there any more. Bought a new one, obviously.
