TripleDeuce50 0 Posted January 15, 2006 Got the 7116 all repainted and new decals applied will post some pics soon...now to the real question had the wagon on today kinda loaded down went up throught the pasture which is up hill kinda steep and the tractor quit. It is 13 degees F today so cold but applied the choke and it restarted a second and quit again. Came to the conclusion it was starving fuel. These tractors being gravity fed is it possible the hill is too steep?? Or more likely the float is not set right or the fuel filter is almost plugged? Any thoughts? I am going to try a new filter since they are so cheap. Then if not it I guess the float could be set wrong??
UCD 14 Posted January 15, 2006 Carb freezing up or a little moisture in fuel. Try some dry gas
MrSteele 483 Posted January 15, 2006 Sounds like moisture in the gas, or perhaps you had some there at some time, and the water is now in the filter and frozen. Several ways to fix it, likely the easiest is to purchase some gas treatment that will run the water out. My choice would be to drain the tank completely, dry it out, clean the lines, replace the filter, then add new gas and start over again.
comet66 0 Posted January 16, 2006 Bring it someplace warm (like the living room) let it thaw, drain, and put in fresh gas and dry gas.
