Guide Lights? Fix or Replace?

Recommended Posts

I am restoring a Broadmoor 728. I am currently working on the engine, and want to thank all of you on this site for your help and information. What a great site! I was able to come across a pair of Guide lights for my 728. One of them is in perfect shape and the other one is broken where the bottom meets the mounting stud. I have tried to find a similar set of lights available (new) and can't. Has anybody on this site run into the same problem? Any ideas on repairing the light?

These look real close to the originals. Here is the link to them. http://www.truck-lite.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10001&productId=28912&langId=-1 can you form a piece of sheet metal into the broken one and weld it into it to fix it?

I caught on of my lights starting to do the same thing. I patched it slowly w/ a wire welder. It's very thin so I did a little at the time. After painting and reassembly it still looks fact.

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
