912H vs. 916H

Going to a sale Wed. where there is a Deutz 912H with 42" deck. I already have a 916H, and a Sim. 3416H with 48" decks and tillers that interchange. The SimpleTractors AC page for 900 series attachments does not list a 42" deck for the 916 and a 48" deck for the 912. Can you put a 48" deck on a 912? It seems to me it should work as the tractor specs appear the same other than engine and lift. Could it be the 912 would be a bit underpowered for a 48" deck? What about using the 42" deck on the 916H and 3416H? thanks, Brent

As far as I know power wise it would work fine. I run a 48" on my 712S with no appreciable difference in power from that to my 7116H. As to whether the Deutz 42" will fit on the 916?? I have no idea.. Sorry Rob

Brent, the decks are all interchangable. The 912 (if engine is OK.) will have plenty of power for a 48" deck and a bagger ( I run a 712H with 48" and a bagger). Note: If you have trees or woods, that 42" may be handy to have. Good Luck, Mike
