Here is a picture of the 912 I bought. I am picking it up this weekend. Does anyone know what the metal flaps are over the front wheel? Are these factory?

No not factory to go on the tire. Maybe someone just set a part on the tire. Kinda looks like the plate under the frame of a 3212 that the motor bolts to.

I don't think it's big enough for a weight base. Sure looks like the same colour but definately not factory over the wheel.

Looks to me like it's touching the tire. Like maybe something's laying on the tire that we haven't identified yet. Another angle would help.
