Hy members, How do you remove the right rear wheel hub ? I want to put studs in on my 917h but the slip control is in the way. ____________________________________________ dewayne

Loosten the set screws on the collar at the end of the axle on the right side. The right hub should then slip right off. You may have to pry the collar off, if the set screw has upset much metal. I would recommend filing down any upset metal from the set screw before sliding the brass bearing in the hub over that area. The hub should slide right out and then slide right back into the diff after you have inserted the studs.

Thanks Rod for the info, studs make it much easier to mount the wheels and I can use chrome lug nuts! I just realized this post should have been under tractor discussions, sorry. dewayne
