Mith 0 Posted February 8, 2006 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Landlord-Tractor_W0QQitemZ7588174347QQcategoryZ11757QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Its pretty close to me, the price looks good too. Does this tractor have hydraulics? Is it shaft drive? Sorry, I've never had one of these tractors before, but it does look nice, and it is close, and I only have 4 major projects at the moment:D Thanks
HubbardRA 19 Posted February 8, 2006 That tractor has a manual lift (the long handle on the left side), and appears to be a 3-speed transmission (I see neither a hydro, nor a shuttle shift lever on it). As far as the engine, it is B/S and somewhere from a 10 Hp to a 16 HP. That is about as much as I can tell from those pictures. All of the large frame Simplicity tractors had a shaft drive from the engine to the Bevel Gear Box(BGB). They have a belt from the BGB to the transmission. ehertzfeld 1 Posted February 9, 2006 I think I would leave that one alone if I were you! I haven't heard anything good about a petrol powered tractor! Now a gasoline powered tractor, that's what you want to look for!:D}:):o):p Go ahead and say it, stupid western humor! lol Elon
Chris727 1,934 Posted February 9, 2006 Looks like a bargain to me. But to have "petrol" powered toys in Europe can get a little pricey.
Mith 0 Posted February 10, 2006 Joe, youre right, for the price it is a steal, and I dont have a Simplicity yet. It hasnt met its reserve, so I dont know how much the guy wants for it. Maybe I will have to do a bit of chatting to the guy, though as you know, I dont really need another project, well....:D Elon, gas is what ya get if you eat to much beans, never heard of a tractor that runs on that!:p Chris, its about $6/US gallon right now, starting to become an expensive habit having these mowers!
