Gas tank storage

Recommended Posts

I remove the battery and gas tank from my 64 broadmoor and keep them in a heated cellar,is it better to store the tank empty or would it be better to keep it filled with oil like kerosine, its a little corroded inside and i don't want it to get any worse.

I would just put some motor oil in. Just enough to coat the tank inside. Then when your ready to use it just dump out what you can and the first tank of gas will just have a little extra top cylinder lube for the engine. Best of luck...

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
