mj 0 Posted February 10, 2006 Hi All, I had asked a question last week pertaining to the two different types of safety switches available on the Allis Chalmers 720-mine has the safety switch up just off the forward/reverse lever. The one I have on my tractor has three wire terminals on it where the one that fits down below just off the hyro pump motor only has two connections-would anyone know what the third terminal is for on the upper one like I have? Thanks again-always look forward to posting here because I learn something every time...

StanD 0 Posted February 10, 2006 Guessing that is not an original switch. Checking the continuity you probably have a common & a normally open & a normally closed terminal. If this is the case you would used the common & normally open position. In the neutral positon with the switch engaged the switch would be closed to complete the starting circuit. Just my thoughts.
