Here's a few pictures Eli took as I dealt with the first 10" or so from today's storm. It's still coming down... Coming out of the barn... Sure beats shoveling sidewalks... And, for those of you with broadband heres a short movie he recorded on this little Canon pocket digital camera. Listen to the old Cast Iron Briggs singing a happy song... Movie in WMV format -- almost 6MB so be patient I didn't even know what he was doing, but I'm impressed for a $150 snapshot camera...

That,s some nice pictures & sure enjoyed the photo clip. Am even happier to know that rig went to the best home. Have only had to blow once here in Wi. so far but I guess that could still change. Thanks for sharing, it makes my day!! StanD

Looks like a good snow to have some fun in. Have,'t seen that much snow in years around here. Cast iron Briggs on a snowblower sounds about as nice as you can get.

TOOOO COOOOLLL. Your haveing way tooo much fun up there. A little dusting is all we got here in NC. Would sure like to have a turn at that much snow on my 620. I'll get it one of these days. Probably when I least can deal with it. I did get a little time a few years ago on my HB212 and blower. First time I'd used a blower. I didn't get to enjoy it near as much as you looked like you were.

Thanks, guys... I thought the "sound effects" would be neat, especially for those who haven't had an opportunity to use a snowblower in deep snow. It's absolutely my favorite use of these tractors, now that I have a cab! :D Not that I like dealing with the cold and mess, it's just that the old Briggs running full throttle, then kicking the governor in, is music to my ears... I just finished cleaning it up again. We got another 4" or so. I'm guessing 14" total, but it's impossible ot tell with all the drifting.

Great pics and a very nice setup!!! I was planning on using my landlord on the 7" of heavy wet snow on the Maryland / West Virginia line, but just when you need it most is when it won't start :( Ended up spending the next 3 hours shoveling the whole thing.

Roy, I don't have a tach on it, but I'm guessing about 3000 RPM or so, based on the way the HB-212 sounds -- and reading it's tach... It's certainly not 3600 RPM. It's full throttle on this 12HP, the way it is adjusted... I haven't messed with the carb since I picked it up from Stan Danielson.

Yes, the cab takes it from being "barely bearable" to downright fun, as long as everything's working OK... Last time I used it, the spring that holds tension on the idler pulley broke, destroying the belt when it went. So, I had to replace the belt and spring yesterday, in preparation for this storm. Now I need to get another belt, since I now have no spare... If anyone wants to see any more pictures, I uploaded the whole set he took here. You can view it as a slideshow, or individual pictures. http://www.flickr.com/photos/kentthomas/sets/72057594063524822/
