Kent 435 Posted February 14, 2006 You can also get Mary's seats through Sandy Lake Implement. They sell her seats, in addition to a real sewn, rolled-and-pleated type.
tanman722001 0 Posted February 14, 2006 I emailed her a few weeks ago and she is still making the seat. The price is $80.00 + $10.00 shipping
Vinnie_A 3 Posted February 14, 2006 Too bad the guy who just paid $71 on E bay for two NOS armrests dident read this post first. For another $9 he could have had the seat to go along with the armrests!

Killer_A-C 0 Posted February 14, 2006 The original B1 seat has factory pleated stitching that looks really nice. Most of the seats that are reproduced are heat pleated or smooth. Got lucky on mine it is stiched,Matt

Got lucky on mine it is stiched,Matt Sandy Lake sells the stitched ones in either the high-back (B-100/200 serires) or low-back (B-1, Big Ten, B-10) models. The low-backed ones were stitched originally, while the high-backed ones were heat pleated. I put the stitched one on my HB-216, even if it isn't correct for a B-210/212 because I like it better. But, it is also MUCH more expensive.... Paul, thanks for that good picture of Wells seat. I hadn't gotten a good look at it. Looks like the cushion may be a bit thicker than the ones Mary makes... Some of you might be interested in how I made my HB-216 seat adjustable, also: http://www.simpletractors.com/do_it/adjustable_seat.htm

Kent 435 Posted February 14, 2006 Paul, Here's the story of Maynard's HB-116... http://www.simpletractors.com/do_it/variable_to_hydro2.htm And my HB-216 that was being done at the same time... http://www.simpletractors.com/do_it/variable_to_hydro.htm Then, there's a whole different story about how that HB-116 made it from Illinois to upstate Vermont....:)
Guest Posted February 14, 2006 Cool. The article on Maynard's HB116 was what really got me into the Simple-Tractor hobby. I didn't realize it was UCD's machine in that article until today as I never went back to that article to today. I've found that I only have time for bolt together projects right now, but I am collecting as we all are. Still very little time. Big things on the horizon right now. UCD 14 Posted February 15, 2006 Paul The HB-116 is what is called a nevawas, It never was a B-112. ( or anything else for that matter ) I guess you would call it a restro rod. It has a Briggs 16hp I/C engine, SundStrand 15 hydro tranny, Sundstrand hydro lift, 7100 series cone clutch & center pto. It even has A Sunrunner horn. The kids like the horn in parades. One may loose all reason and ability to tell right from wrong for the sake of originality, or what ever else possesses the warped tractor focused mind. Even through the detoxication induced lapse of ones membership, this addiction can still persist. Hopefully no one ever gets to the point that this guy became. :D I've seen a few seats Mary has done and all were exceptional.
