B&S ENGINES

anyone had any experienced are know any thing about the B&S horizontal engine that came out on some of the CUB CADETS the red and white ones? JJ

do you have engine type and code's? If so you can go to the briggs sight and download a PDF file with all the parts. What do you need to know about this engine? A B&S engine is a B&S engine pretty much. How about some details about what you need to know. The big framed Simps have B&S Horizontal shafts on them so i'm sure someone here could help you. Only horizontal B&S I have is on a red tractor and it's a 9hp.

this engine is not like any of the horizontal B&S cast iron engine that i have . i could not find any numbers on it. jj

Is it a twin or a Single? Cast Iron or aluminum? What HP? and what model of cub?

JJ, perhaps a picture could help. I'm all about a good briggs and i understand the frustration of not having numbers to identify. Perhaps some of the members have "seen" such an engine and only need a visual.

I have a cub cadet 1000 that has a 10HP aluminum block Briggs. It's a yellow and white tractor however. Not sure what it's red colored equivalent would be, maybe 482,582??
