I put the one in the 3310 diesel project, were the voltage regulator should be. Since it's got a diesel in it I didn't need the regulator any more. I would think you mite be able to mount the solenoid above the regulator. Is there enough room? I can't seem to think if there is any up there. Elon
SmilinSam 3,914 Posted February 16, 2006 On the starter generator equipped older tractors it was mounted over the engine on the bracket bolted to the top of the engine. There and where it already is on yours are the only two places I have ever put them.

RayS 79 Posted February 16, 2006 On my 917H, which I put a 16hp Briggs in, I put it on top of the engine like my HB 212.
ambler 0 Posted February 16, 2006 I have two long 3-4 feet battery cables that I put on to sort out staring problems. That way I can remove the battery to the ground and play with all the wiring. It worked for me.
