couple 720 questions.

As of now the motor is still out and apart on the 720 I bought. But After this winter so far it has bought me to a couple questions. Now with this 720 I have a plow blade, hyd lift and down pressure. Unfortunatly it is a manual angle blade. The question here is can a hyd. lift cyl. from a 10-12hp tractor be used to angle the blade? Now on a second thought, this would apply to both the 720 and say smaller tractors for testing the hydro drives and lifts. Now the 720 has the motor out. if I was to take some metal and make a coupling to bolt to the motor output coupling where the flex disc goes. Now use a 1/2 inch impact for power would this be enough to test the hydro drives and lift systems? I am not sure howmany RPM the 720 needs to generate pressure in the system or the hyd lift on say the 10-12 hp tractors. Do you think this would work? James K.

I would not use impact wrench. Because of uneven power. I would use an electric motor, or a heavy duty drill, but should be running at rated motor speed . 3000 rpm. Or a gas motor.

I agree w/ Ron. Useing an impact wrench would rev up fine but once any load is applied you'd be back to the impact on the shaft. This could wring the shaft in to. BTW, the shaft on top is fot the rear PTO only. The lower shaft with the double sheave feeds the hydro. Putting a lrge electric drill on it with a socket will run it enough to do basic tests such as up and down and some slow driveing of the tranny. A slow drill will work but you do ned a least 1000 rpm to build any real power and flow rate. The engine speed is from around 750 low idle to 3600 rpm full engine speed. You can addapt the blade for hydrau;ic angle. This would require a secound set of front remotes. This was an option on these tractors but you have some draw backs. PM me if your interested in discusing it more indepth. I can talk faster than I can type.lol
