Kohler Carb Kits..Which is which?

Kit # 25 757 01 has needle seat with a cone shape end on it. Kit# 25 757 02 has needle seat that is flat ended. I believe one is for engines with a fuel pump and the other is for engine that are gravity fed, or so I've been told. Both kits are listed for the K321 14Hp. Which kit is for what?

I thought all the cast iron 10-16 HP Kohlers had fuel pumps. All that I have seen had them.

Not on a lot of the older Cub Cadets. Most of those use gravity feed. Some of the older Jacobsen/Fords are the same way too. No fuel pumps...

That explains a lot for me. I hardly mess with Cubs. To much work for so little return.lol

Tell ya what, personally i'd use kit # 25 757 01 i dont think you can go wrong with that.

Thats what I got and put in today. Unfortunately the float valve wasnt moving quite freely after I installed it. Sure enough once it was back on the tractor it decided to stick. Got to take her apart again in the morning.....
