Sticking Hydraulic Lift on 7117 Simplicity

Recommended Posts

KevinD
I recently aquired a 7117 tractor. When pulling back on the hydraulic deck lift, the handle will stick and cause an over relief condition until I manually push the stick forward a small amount. There is a spring attatched to the valve assembly as best as I can tell. Any cures or fixes for this condition? Thanks in advance for any replies.

Try spraying WD-40 or CRC into the valve body and then working the lever back and forth vigorously until it frees up. The locknutnut also likes to loosen after a while and should be tightened up to prevent excess "slop". It can be accessed with a long extension from the opposite side.
