I read an add in the paper and went to look at a 712S, expecting, given the rarity of AC products in this area, and the high rust factor with all the humidity, to turn around and come back home. I was shocked to find this.

The pictures don't do it justice. The paint actually shines in the sun.

serial 1120 Kohler K301S, spec 47540d, serial 7492822 Does this mean a 74 model? Being my first RBT and first Kohler there are teo mystery things I need identified:

and

The muffler worries me that it might cook the paint with this rig. Is a new muffler still available?

Sorry for the long post, but I'm kinda happy about this.

First ?? is a fuel pump. Secound is the regulator. It's a diode pack and rectifier built together on a circut bourd so it has to have all that heat sink on it to keep it from burning up. You should be able to find lots of different style mufflers that will work. Used OEM ones are somewhat resonable. New will scare you. Other than that, nice find. Very straight tractor. Paint around the sticker looks like it's been repainted at some point, but still very clean.

Thanks for all the comments. All it needs is a battery cable and a new airfilter and foam precleaner to be running. I think for now I'll just turn the exhaust down so it won't be on the side of the hood until I can find the correct muffler. I looked at the price for a new one 170456, and heart skipped a beat. [:0]I don't think I'll go that way.

Real good looking tractor Randy.8D Does it have a rear lift? If not, there's some on ebay now. You need to put electric lift on that one too.
