Brought this home today,I'ts got a dry hydro,The Kohler smokes a little but runs good ,It fits right in with the rest of them with Ags.I think this tractor is going to be a good candidate for some kind of custom deisel swap with a frame and hood strecth! This will be my next tractor project!! Can anyone tell me what year this is? Thanks

Gave her a good cleaning this morning, this tractor is in realy nice shape ,This being my first hydro I don,t know much about them and I coulden't find anything on the site.would there be anything under the Simplicity 7 series by mfg# ? And if there is would anyone have a number that I could use? Im kinda wondering how tuff these hydro units are and what kind of H.P. and RPM they'll take Thanks

That's a nice 912 you got there. Judging by the steering wheel on the tractor I'd say it's either an '84 or early '85 model. The 900's made prior to '84 had a flatter steering wheel, like on my '82 916-H. After March of 1985 the 900's were then painted Spring Green and carried the Deutz-Allis name on them.

Nice find..Your garage is way to empty..I would say you need to get at least 10-15 more tractors, LOL

I believe those ag tires are more you trademark than the chrome fender trim. I like it. It is as clean as you will find even has dealership decal still intact. Good job buddy,Matt8D

Great next project ya got there. I got a 917H allis, it has a kt17 (type1) kohler in it with a broken conecting rod. I am looking for a replacement motor. Hopefully by the end of summer, I will have a replacement motor. JH

Nice looking score Paul, heck, you don't even need to repaint it. Though the ag lugs help it blend in with your tractors that excess iron where your feet go sure does stand out with a glare}:)}:)

Great find...! That sure is clean.. Im addicted to the 900s...I currently have 3 that came without motors...not sure exactly what Im gonna do...Although the diesel/aircooled VW motor swap has been in the back of my mind for a while now

That is a heck of a nice start for any project, looks to be nice and straight. I'd like to find a reasonably priced deisel to put in my loader tractor.

This post started yesterday evening. The way Paul works, it is probably torn down and half of it sand blasted by now.;);) Keep the pictures coming, this will be fun to follow.

Paul, The Sunstrand can take some decent horsepower, but do not try to turn the tranny faster than 3600 rpm. The pump just will not take high speed. I was told this by a tractor puller who had wasted a couple of trannys.
