The original Case garden tractors were built by Colt Mfg of Winnconne, Wisconsin back around 1963 or 1964. Case later purchased Colt. During the 1980's farm recession, Case sold the garden tractor business back to an LBO called Ingersoll. This is the same thing that happened with Simplicity and Allis-Chalmers, except that the Simplicity name remained intact. The place to find parts is therefore an Ingersoll dealer. You should be able to locate a dealer by accessing the Ingersoll web site. Ingersoll tractors are unique in that they do not use the Sunstrand hydro, but their own hydraulic drive. I always thought that it was very ironic that Case developed an innovative, unique, hydraulic drive system for garden tractors at the same time that their large farm tractors used a chain for the final drive.
