Mowingman Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 yesterday I bought a simplicity walk behind tractor no. S16528R for $30, and it came with a sickle mower, reel mower, disc, cultivator, plow, and hiller/ furrower. the engine is free, and I'm looking for any information/ manuals on the power unit, B&S engine, or the attachments, paricularly the mowers. any help is appreciated.
PatRarick Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Serial number doesn't help much. Do you have the model number of the tractor? Engine model number would also help. Pat
Mick14 Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 If you look up at the top of this page, under simple tractors ,theres a listing for "walkers"---a lot of info there,Mick
Mowingman Posted April 12, 2006 Author Posted April 12, 2006 I saw it, but it doesn't really have much on the engine- which is model 5s, type 700044

According to the literature and photos on the walkers site, the M is a 3 horsepower tractor and the photo shows a model 9 engine. The L is a two horsepower tractor and the photo shows a model 5 engine. Other than the engine difference, they appear to be the same tractor. Pat
Mowingman Posted April 13, 2006 Author Posted April 13, 2006 where's the model # on the walkers- on the simplicity mfg. co. tag?
Karl_Brandt Posted April 13, 2006 Posted April 13, 2006 Your tractor sounds like a Simplicity Model B. This tractor had a Briggs & Stratton model N engine..2hp. Check my Simplicity model Page. www.simplicityva.com/simpmodel.html www.simplicityva.com Main page ;) Karl
