Corncountytractors Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 We have a simplicity sickle mower we sold but the new owner wants us to restore it. Great!!! we know little or nothing about this. It looks like most of the cutter bar is missing. And the pulley has some slop in it. Any help on a parts list or a parts diogram. Are any of the parts still avalible through Simplicity ??? Thanks for any and all help. BOB
Chris727 Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 I think most parts are no longer available, you might find something used or someone with new old stock parts. You can download a parts manual from the simplicity website if you have your 6 digit mfr#, usually begins with 990. We even have a direct link to put in your model # and get manuals on the club homepage. Hope this helps. Chris
toad270 Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 Welcome to the club Here is a list of mfg no for the sicklebars this will give you a start to find part numbers. then search ebay and see what you can find. http://www.simpletractors.com/what_fits/sickle_bars_%26_weed_cutters.htm this is a link for pulleis. http://www.phoenix-mfg.com/index.html
gregc Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 Bob, I think the MFG number of the sickle mower that you had was 990210. The number that you list in your topic is a part number for the hinge.
Kent Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 Sandy Lake has a source for new knives (last I knew), but you'll need to find used rock guards.
tflator Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 Check on Ebay for a seller named "cityfarmer2". He sells a lot of NOS parts. I've bought some sicklebar parts (among others) from him. Tom
