sickle bar HELP! (Now fixed)

I just got this and I put it on and I think something isn't wright.

I can't trun my wheels to the right:(.

I also don't think this braket is wright:(.

I also don't know where my chain hooks to the sickle bar:(????

And the stupid belt doesn't reach now:(!:(!:(!??. I hope some one can help. I have also orderd a attachment book but I haven't got it yet. THANKS:I.

Aren't some of the sickle mowers for the B-1's shorter or something and hit on the wider tires of newer machines? I think someone had a post out here about that and they made some extenders or something. I can't find it now...

That looks like a early mower like for a B1.

From the pictures I think you have your parts all mixed up. Will never fit as depicted. :D

Elon, How did you mount the chain to your starter? Is it bolted or is there a quick release?

I got it fixed. THANKS for everyones help.I made this bracket and it worked out good.

The short chain hooks to a small bracket the fastens hard to the frame. This keeps the mower gear section from dropping down to low should you cross a dip or hole. The lever lifts the mower up over/around obsticles and the long chain hod the bar up for transport. I'm not sure what if any diff. there might be in the early and late model sickle mowers but the longer wheel base might be pushing the mid-pto back farther makeing the standard belt not reach. Also these models were never made when a wide front tire tractor was so the tire width may have something to do with the tire hitting mounted on your tractor. But if your happy with the bracket you've made then run it and enjoy. Glad you got it up and running.
