bobj Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 Making exact replica decals for my 3314H. All are done except for throttle or engine speed. Any help greatly appreciated. Attached is pic of shifter and engine decals. I guessed at the engine speed decal. Bob J.
Roy Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 Bobj, Don't know about originality but your decals look good. I have an ACAD drawing of the throttle decal that I drew. Someone else on the site also has a drawing (he sent me some decals). What software did you use to make your drawings?
bobj Posted April 28, 2006 Author Posted April 28, 2006 Does your look like an original? If so what year or model and can you post or send me pics? I start with Design Cad for measurement accuracy then export in dwg, pull the dwg into Corel Draw, pretty it up for font accuracy, and export to pdf for manufacturing. Exported what you see in jpg. Bob J.
Roy Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 Bob, Attached photos are from my 7013S. Will try to find the ACAD drawing & convert to something I can send. Hope this helps.
Roy Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 Here are the drawings I made. They are to scale and the lettering/font has been proportioned to match the original Simplicity lettering. Let me know if you need a copy of the ACAD drawing. Good luck,
bobj Posted April 29, 2006 Author Posted April 29, 2006 I am guessing yours is late '70s or early '80s. Mine is 1971ish. You did a nice job. Hope my comments helped. I really need a pick of something my vintage, trying to make perfect repro so others might benefit down the road. Thanks. Bob J.
bobj Posted April 29, 2006 Author Posted April 29, 2006 re: Don't know about originality............... Roy, The shift decal on my machine was excellent condition, and yes it has white background, and it seems that most after my machine was made had black background. Whatever, just trying to get it right. Bob J.
bobj Posted April 29, 2006 Author Posted April 29, 2006 Here's a pic of the pdf file ready for plotting Bob J.
