hdrhdr Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 I have been looking for a rear mount tiller and found this. I bought the tiller and the B-10 came with it. This will be #3 in my collection and first yellow one. It looks to be a 66' late B-10. S# is 055549. The history of this tractor is I am the 3rd owner. Second one had only a short time and of course first bought it new. I was told it had been stored inside all the time and used mostly for tilling only. The home made hub caps must have been put on just after purchased new because when I took them off and wash off all the dirt, rims and lug bolts look brand new. Starts great and no smoke. After running awhile, I shut it off and could smell something hot. I realized that mice had built a nest under the flywheel shroud and have begun the removal of the engine to clean it out and of course when just the engine is coming out why not remove this panel and the other one and then how does this come off, OH just 2 bolts, ok, well I'll just take this off and before you know it, it looks like this. and this, Now that I have the tractor clean, I can get the sheet metal off of the motor!! This one will get restored this summer after I get some tilling done. It is in such good shape (I'm amazed) that the only things that will need replaced will be some bearings and bushings. It still had 3 out of 4 of the hood bolts with it. Randy

Killer_A-C Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 Neet little tractor. They are the best looking of all the Bs IMO,Matt
comet66 Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 What a great original. I don't think I'd restore it, I believe I'd leave it original.
ZippoVarga Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 I agree with John. An unrestored in that good of condition is almost unseen. Beautiful example of yesterdays tractors.
