What's so rare as ..................

Maybe not rare but not too many. I got called by a fellow I used to work with, this morning, to tell me he saw a Simplicity I might be interested in. Rare in the fact that the 7018 still had the 18hp overhead valve 1 cyl. Kohler. Rearer yet, it ran. And even more rare that it had a loader, and to top it all off, it worked too. Needless to say it's not going to receive a "purdy" prize, it needs some TLC with the muffler, one oil seal on a lift cylinder and some tires with less cracks in them, but hey. I think it's a keeper. I won't say what it cost, but for what it is, it was a steal. The woman that owned it set the price. Just in the right place, and just in time. Oh yeah, finding it less than 15 miles away has to be the rarest of all. B.R.

If I've seen a loader on a RBT I can't think of who has it. Nice find for sure. So you feel too guilty to fess up to what you stoled it for????

Ron , You have a very nice tractor with loader. Some people have all the luck.

Hey that's nice! can you do me a favor, take a bunch of pic's! I'm in the process of building a loader for a 3310V. I would like to see how your is made, to see if I'm no the right track. Nice score BTW! Elon

Well, I tried it out last night and everything worked fine, with the exception of needing to be an octopus to work 3 levers and watching where your going, all at one time. It gave me even more respect to crane, backhoe, forktruck and any other operators that their brain wires need to have good connections with their hands. The main reason I was wanting something with a loader was to lift attachments or maybe even a tractor out of a truck or trailer. Since my trailer and truck have sides, a bucket would need to lift the attachments higher yet and this just doesn't lift high enough or probably doesn't have the ability to lift some attachments. I guess I will still need to go to a farm size tractor to be able to do that. It was probably great for using in a horse barn, which the previous owner used it for. I used it on mulch and it was perfect, just not big enough for what I needed. By the way, it is a Johnson Work Horse loader. B.R.

A foot control hydro makes a world of diffrerence by having one less hand operation to deal with.

What a huge help, but I'm confused, were is the main frame attached to? Is it welded to the running boards? lol No really how is it mounted. It doesnt look like it goes to the front or the rear of the tractor. If it doesn't, is that enough to support the weight of a full and lifted bucket? This is pretty similar to what I'm doing. Thanks so much for the pictures and measurements. Elon

The loader is welded to the angle iron frame, which is bolted on the frame under the running boards, where the bolts are pointed out. The rectangular frame is visible in the last two pics and the side views. B.R.

is there any rearward mounts? If not I would think that it put a lot of pressure on the bgb.

Could stand a larger Soveriegn Steering Wheel for more leverage rather than one off a Broadmoor.

Rat, I was wondering if it was mounted to the transmission...or just to the front...The loader i have broke the last owners tractor nicely into 2 pieces...splitting the bgb. Yours looks to be on the front only...need to put in on ramps and show us the soft underbelly...

Hmmm. Looks like that would also fit on a 7100/900 series machine, especially a custom yellow one with power steering - a necessity no doubt due to so much weight on the front end........
