Well I jumped in a purchased a "New" (compared to all the others) tractor. A 1999 Simplicity Landlord. It has a 50" cut and bagger with a blower. Anyone know anything about these? What they go for? Keith

Keith, I have a 1996 Landlord that I purchase new. Mine has a 16 horse Briggs and a 6 speed manual transmission. I have 785 hours on it. The only problems I've had was both safety switches and a battery needed replace. I use Landlord to mow and move snow. I look for a another 10 years of problem free use. Someone else will have to comment on hydro trans. I grew up on manual transmission tractors.

I ran a Massey Ferguson Version of the DLX with a blown engine up to $400 and didnt get it last fall. They are pretty nice tractor though I prefer the independant pedal fooot control on the Conquest/Prestige models. In fact , other than the pedals and tinwork they are about the same sort of machine as the Conquest/Prestige.

I have a 2000 (I think) 16 hp Briggs Broadmoor withfoot controlled hydrostatic, a 38 inch multching deck and 42 inch snowblower. I had no trouble with it. But wife got into landscaping and I needed a tiller. Bought a 3214 (16 hp Briggs) with deck, tiller, snowblower, vacuum system and revitalizer from Simplicity dealer for $695. Broadmoor went to my son for the last 3 or4 years.

I have the Agco-Allis version of the landlord and I love this tractor (okay I love all my tractors). I added the rear lift and modified the rear weight carrier to mount over the lift mount it let's me use both without removing one or the other. The front weight carrier and 2 60 lb. weights gives me great traction in my steep ditch. The best modification I've made is to add an Allen Bradley joystick toggle switch to the electric lift much easier to use on the fly than the dumb rocker switch. Here's a few other things I have done to/with this tractor.
