MDB Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 Just got my camera software installed in the new puter, thought I would share some planting pics. Warning, there are no ACs in these pics....[:0]:I TW 25 Ford with 20' Kongskilde field cultivator 9700 Ford with 23' Kongskilde field cultivator John Deere 4020 with 6 row John Deere planter (this is one of my favorite rigs to operate):D More pics to come as the season progresses.
ehertzfeld Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 How can you farmers call that "work"?! Looks like play time to me!:D Elon
Roy Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 You don't mess around. You're really serious about farming. After the big machinery the Simplicities and AC's must seem like toys (which they are for most of us).
MPH Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 Interesting an old 4020 is high on your farvorte list Mike. They were by no small measure a class act when they came out.
Jonnysac Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 I think I felling sick. Blue green what is this??[:0] I think I'm trunning blue and green just looking at them!:D:D:D I'm just kidding:D:D. They all get the job done. Heres some pics of what we got done today.
MDB Posted April 30, 2006 Author Posted April 30, 2006 Great pics. John, Those 8000 series ACs sure are sharp looking tractors,8D It is a real shame that they were discontinued when Duetz bought AC in the early 80s.:(
AGCO918 Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 Very nice pictures you guys have taken.I am no Ford truck fan at all but have always liked the Ford tractors.I TW 25 & 9700 are very nice tractors.I Love the 8000 series Allis Chalmers tractors.AGCO is getting better on the new DT series of tractors.
MN_FISH Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 Nice pictures guys:D. I don't have any pictures of me seeding. One pass with the 40' Bourgault air seeder except where we put on anhydrous this spring. The wheat seeding went great. The driest it's been in the spring. The wheat is all up but slow growing being we're wet and cool now. Hopefully the weather will straighten out so we can start on the soybeans. They're still predicting:( showers and cool weather next week. Mike post a picture of your straight ;)rows when the crop is up. My seeding got a little crooked this year because the GPS was pretty erratic this spring. The guys with auto-steer & EZsteer were also having problems. I'll see if I can get a picture of seeding soybeans. About $2.50 B)a gallon for diesel fuel here.
MPH Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 Wayne, maybe with the price of fuel you should look into squeezing your own diesel outta them beans. i don't think we'll ever see the price of fuel going down enough to a hoot.
shanhamm Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 that is such an upper when i see farmers out planting there crops, that tells me summer is right around the corner8D
