Chris727 Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 Hi. I am getting a hydrolift kit that was on a 3112 and am wondering what the difference was in the cast iron pulley used between the engine and driveshaft on the 10hp versus 12hp tractors. Was it that one or the other was thicker? I'm not sure what I'd be installing it on, and don't see what is different from a 10 to a 12 as far as hook up. The flywheels are the same, so why is there a difference? Only thing I've noticed is my B12 has an aluminum booster fan instead of the several piece steel pulleys used on the older 10's, so I needed longer driveshaft spacers (pulley was gone when I purchased the tractor). I've never had one of these lifts and don't know a whole lot about them. Thanks in advance. Chris
D-17_Dave Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 One of the differances are the thinkness. You just use an extra set of spacers with one size or substitute the hydrolift pulley for a set of spacers for the other size.
mark64 Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 The narrow pully was on the early Landloard and B series tractors. The wide pully will fit on any of them , you just remove more of the spacers to get the wider pully in. I put the wide pulley from a 12hp tractor in my early B10 with no trouble. Mark
Chris727 Posted May 6, 2006 Author Posted May 6, 2006 Thanks guys, that sounds great. Sounds like its the better type to have8D I think I'll be putting it on the B110 for now, should help with lifting the moldboard plow.
