Tasbrus Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 I had a little time to tinker so I pulled the plug on the old girl and sprayed in some WD-40, spun the engine over several times. No spark so I cleaned and set the points and plug gave her a direct shot of pre- mix and the old engine came to life, sounded strong and actually ran VERY well with the exception of fuel shooting from the fuel pump gasket and the charging system not working. I'm excited now.
Marty-MN Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 Don't ya love it when things do what you want them to. sounds like a good start.
Tasbrus Posted May 7, 2006 Author Posted May 7, 2006 I need to buy a battery for this tractor and the one in it is a little bigger then the average lawn and garden battery. Do I need the bigger one or will the $20 wally world battery be ok?
maxtorman1234 Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 bigger batterys are much better, they'll turn the engine over lots of times just incase something isnt right, as opposed to a few turns over with the cheap battery, then your out of luck. id go with the bigger battery, you cant go wrong.
