maxtorman1234 Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 Came across this in the paper, its a ford 100. It's ugly but runs excellent. I already have a 140 but was missing parts, now i have enough parts to make 1 complete one. somebody hacked out the front to fit a s/g im guessing its an older engine in the tractor. It has 4 new tires and a new battery. i got the brake and clutch adjusted, now it's alot nicer to drive. i paid enough for it (550), but i think theyre neat tractors. heres some pictures. Chris727 Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Those old Jacobsen Fords were neat tractors, I missed a couple of Minnie's about like that. I think that tractor had a S/G from factory, but likely it was fitted differently.
lboy1971 Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 I have a Ford 100 and 120, White Town and Country 112 and a Jacobsen 1000. They are decent lawn tractors but the aluminum decks can be a pain. They have a scissors type lift and they keep getting stuck. Plus if you want to put a tiller on one you need to find a double v-groove pulley for the transmission which is hard to do.
AGCO918 Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 Not a bad find at all. They are built heavy like the Simplicitys. You see them at tractor shows now & then.
