shanhamm Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 father in laws mtd "king ranch" broke down again, (go figure) towed it with the simplicity. i just had to share the picture.
comet66 Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 But it's so much, bigger.....shinier...newer....How could that be?
Marty-MN Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 Gotta make ya8Dsmile:D,but I'll bet your father in law has a different outlook:I;)
D-17_Dave Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 Be shure to leave it out front for awhile so everyone to see it. lol
Mick14 Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 I have been thinking of getting a tow hitch like that, does it put any strain on the bgb ?
firefoxz1 Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 I believe that's a little yoeman he's pulling with so it has no "BGB". I have no problem pulling with the Broadmoor either just not enough traction for some jobs.
shanhamm Posted May 11, 2006 Author Posted May 11, 2006 it is a yeoman, and i love that hitch so much, you never have to take the ball off if you want to use a clevis hitch, its great. the only problem is with some trailers they have a "set" right behind the coulpler, and that interfers with the ball mount when turning. otherwise it is great idea.
Charlieson Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 I saw a chevrolet truck towing a new dodge over the weekend.;-] Wish I had a camera. ddh
shanhamm Posted May 11, 2006 Author Posted May 11, 2006 thats the way it should be, simplicity towing a mtd, and a chevy towing a dodge, what more could a guy ask for.
tractormike Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 You have to feel sorry for people that don't have any vintage tractors to use and have to by new ones!
D-17_Dave Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 quote:Originally posted by Mick14 does it put any strain on the bgb ? Even if it had a BGB they can pull a plow or other implement so even if the MTD was stuck in gear loaded with cinder blocks it would still pull it or spin before it would hurt the BGB.
ehertzfeld Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 quote:Originally posted by shanhamm thats the way it should be, simplicity towing a mtd, and a chevy towing a dodge, what more could a guy ask for. A blonde female driving the tow truck!:D Elon
Jovee Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 A Ford guy on another site asked "What do you tow with your tractors?" Fords! I love to embarass lesser equipment too!
shanhamm Posted May 12, 2006 Author Posted May 12, 2006 might have to start a towing business in the neighborhood, "SIMPLE TOWING CO" tow them right to the small engine shop down the road. lol from what i see people using here i could make a killing, i'll have to make a tow hook for the back of the simplicity.
AGCO918 Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 I like that picture.A orange tractor pulling a pieace of junk.
