Does anyone know where I can get an original rear work/tail light for my B-210 restoration project. I'm looking for the one with the switch to change from a red tail light to a white work light. Thanks, Tom.

You can try hunting one from some of the sight sponsers that part out tractors like SLI or put an add in the wanted classified's.

I have one of those lights it was made by Guide. My sealed beam is burnt out, and haven't been able to find another. I don't think they are made anymore, can't find a listing for the bulb anywhere. They were not original for Simplicity but were used on large tractors and other equipment.

Those lights are not original equipment for Simplicity/Allis Chalmers. They are for the Farm tractor MFG's. You can find them on eBay under Farmall, JD, Massy, Case, Allis Chalmers, etc. They run between $50.00 and $80.00 depending on condition and make of and color tractor they came off from. Most were made by Guide are the same style. Allis had one that was a little larger and flatter. Simplicity/Allis Chalmers garden tractors used the same light on the rear as the front head lights.

Mike, Here is a listing of some other bulbs that will fit that light. I know that some/most are still avialable. I checked on several of them and NAPA can get the ones I checked on. Don't remember which ones I asked about. They had white, amber, and red ones in some of the numbers. I used a bulb from a 7116 to replace the fog light on a Ford Ranger. Bulbs were the same number, even. Just stick with the smaller wattage units so that the S-G can handle it.

Rod The light tflator is talking about has a bright white light on one side of a three position switch for working. the other side of the light switch has a smaller 1156 style red bulb that gives off a red glow for a red tail light. This three position switch can be either a rotary style or push button mounted on the top back of the housing. Some have both a red and clear 1156 style bulb. Others have a sealed beam with a round spot of the reflector material removed this round spot is colored red with a 1156 style bulb or clear with a red 1156 style bulb positioned behind the spot and shines though the spot and lens of the sealed beam. I have two of these lights one is Farmall red bullet style the other is Allis orange flat style.

Thanks, Maynard, I remember back to when I researched the numbers in the table. I know they sold a dual sealed beam that was both red and clear. I did not list that one in the table. I will have to go back and look it up to see if it is still available. Any of the bulbs that fit in a Par-36 mount will work in the light unit. Some of the ones that I listed in the table come in optional colors, but I don't think that any are dual colored lamps.

I just check the bulb in my light (its on my 2210), the sealed beam is a 4424, with a TS 1003. I got this light at a flea market several years ago for 5.00, and it was in perfect shape, too bad the sealed beam burnt out after a short time. I'm always on the lookout for another.

Hey, I am about ready to put one of those red jewel work lights on my 7790! I found it at a swap meet a few years ago and gave it a black paint job. I have the kind with a PAR36 sealed beam, and then it has a red glass in the back of the sealed beam with a small hole in the reflection coating for the 1156 bulb behind it. The bulb number on the one I have is 4409X. I think it was still in GE's catalog? My bulb is the Tung Sol brand. They are pricey though, around $30. Mine still works! Flip a switch one way and I have a red taillight, flip it the other and I have a white rear worklight. Another thing I have been wanting to mention is that the hollow nipples and nuts used in making table lamps work great if you are trying to put a rear work light on a tractor cheap. All the cheap lights don't have hollow bolts to mount like what is needed. You can get the $9.88 work light from Walmart, some lamp niples, nuts, washers, some pieces of innnertube to cushion the light, wire, and elctrical connectors and have a cheap non-factory rear light. Double nut the nuts or they will work loose.
