simpliCT Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 Hello, new to site but did some searching and found most info is for older Simplicity stuff. Do any of you have some sites for newer model (1993 Broadmoor and 1995)Simplicity Used and New parts..? Any assistance will be appreciated
D-17_Dave Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 Most of us here had these tractors for 25+ years before the internet so the time they have been around gives a lot of us a lot of common interest and information. There are several members that have the newer tractors of varying models but they aren't as commonas the older models and not many would be junked out so finding used parts would probably be tough. The good thing about Simpicity is you should be able to get most anything new from any dealer. As for other sites, probably the only way you'll find a site more informative about these tractors is to talk to the engineering dept. at Simplicity. And I bet with some of the dealer/members we have on here we could hold our own there too. If you have some questions just throw em out here and we'll see if we can help.
simpliCT Posted May 14, 2006 Author Posted May 14, 2006 Thanks for responding Dave, I was looking for a used headlight lens and didn't want to pay full boat from the dealer as I am selling one of my Broadmoors (bought two this week). 1st one I bought runs and cuts great but was a little rough around the edges and didn't seem to have very loving owners and I am questioning the Maintenance schedule they followed (probably none). I blew it off with the power washer and after some cosmetic fixes hopefully I can make a couple hundred and make the wife happy:D. SHE THINKS I AM CRAZY FOR BUYING TWO IN ONE WEEK, IS THIS HOW YOU GUYS GOT STARTED^. I will take your advice on asking the club questions as four stroke engines are greek to me (I am an old MX racer and have regularly rebuilt my two strokes). Thanks again for the welcome. CT
tec2484 Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 simpliCT For me it started with a 1970 broadmoor 728 (I was looking for info on it when I found the club, Best $10 I ever spent on tractors). That was about a year ago. I now have the broadmoor, a 1963 Wards squire 9, A-C B210, 16LTH and a 3416S. And always looking for more:D. I'm one of the lucky guys in the fact that my wife don't say much about what I do (or spend) in the barn or on tractors.
goatfarmer Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 Let me look,I have an Agco Allis I'm parting, don't remember what the headlight looks like.

JH My first haul in from my ads was for 5 tractors, 4 decks, a blower, blade, weights and chains. I think it was for 2 Wonderboy 700's a 725, a 9hp Landlord, and a 7012H.That was about 8-9 years ago or so. I never asked the wife what she thought..|)
JJ MARSHALL Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 3 weeks ago i bought 5 riding mowers and 2 push mowers at one time. no comment on what the wife said. IF you are looking HEADLIGHT LENS for the REGENT OR BROADMOWER in the 90s i think that they are about $20.00 from the dealer. JJ

simpliCT Posted May 15, 2006 Author Posted May 15, 2006 Saw those on the BAY Tec, good deal. I am noticing that the Simplicities use alot of the same parts between models. Well almost all. That will certainly help on picking used stuff up. JJ - Thanks for the $ on the lens, I hadn't checked yet with a dealer but expected something closer to $100, $20 is a steal and am going to get on order today.
