Just picked this up today by Milwaukee. Won it on ebay wednesday night. Was listed as non-running. Had it running about an hour after getting it home. Still needs carb and gas tank work though. I think it's an Economy tractor from the 40's or 50's. It has a Wisconsin AEN engine with 3 speed tranny, foot clutch and hand brakes. Rear 8.3x24 tires are like new and front 12 inch tires are decent. The dozer blade is a widened Jacobsen blade.

I think it was listed in the agricultural section and wasn't listed as an Economy but a Sears. When I bid on it I really didn't expect to get it. I figured it would go up alot at the end and wind up about twice what I had bid, but it didn't. It was in Caledonia a couple miles south of Ryan Rd and just east of I94. One of the guys that was there to help load it had a grandfather that worked for Allis Chalmers on their largest boring machine, which a close friend of my dad also worked on. So him and my dad where gabbing for quite a while, lol.

I'd say a 61 or so model Economy. Looks very simular to my 64 model. VERY tough little tractors.

I found an economy tractor group on yahoo and there wasn't much info. They did have a chart showing years according to what engine is used. According to that chart 1950-1957 was when the Wisconsin AEN engine was used. Two other engines were used in those years also, AENS wisconsin and Briggs 23 FB. But didn't break down each year individually but year groupings.

There should be a serial # tag on the upper side slpoe of the clutch houseing. This should tell you for shure. If I remember right they used a diff. setup on the front wheel vertical spindals than the ones on yours. Mine had the briggs engine orriginally with the same front axle as yours, tall rear tires, hand brakes, and fenders.

If there was a tag it's gone now. Only tag I could find on entire tractor was on the engine stating it's a Wisconsin AEN engine. I did get the governor working and the engine runs really good. But, the clutch fork is really bad. It wouldn't work the clutch enough to shift so I pulled the engine and clutch to see what was wrong. I need to find a clutch fork and clutch foot pedal shaft. The clutch fork was welded to the shaft by a previous owner. Can't wait to get the thing up and going though. I checked some internet sights and I can get a new fork and shift lever for about $100.
