blackfarms1 Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 have a 7012 42" deck 7016 48" deck and 4040 60" deck. The 42" deck does a perfect job. The pther two decks when mowing the lawn back and forth to stipe will leave an ever so slight sreak on the discharge side. I have heard that gator blades cure this problem giving these bigger decks more suction. I did not know they made these for 48" and 60" If they do what is a good place to get them? thanks
Marty-MN Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 Don't know about the 48" but there not made for the 60". I don't get steaking on any of my 60" decks with oem or oregon blades.

I would call them I I were you. Elon
RayS Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 All I use anymore are the gator blades, but there is no increase in suction and there maybe even a decrease because the blade is serrated and doesnt have as much lift. Thats just my opinion. They do however stay sharper longer.
Kenh Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 The gator blades are avaiable in a hi-lift version. I bought some for a $%^*$# (toro) mower where I worked. They did have more lift than the standard blades. Just make sure you ask for the hi-lift blade. Ken
