JimS Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 I tried to do a compression check on my 4041 today and got different readings depending on how I did it. What is the right procedure to use? What is normal compression for a CCKB?
StanD Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 Not possitive but 90-120 will still develop good power. Compression should be checked with wide open throttle. StanD
D-17_Dave Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 When you crank over the engine and see the guage start up you'll stop cranking when the needle stops increaseing at a reasonable rate. You can keep cranking on it and increase it by a few pounds each time but that's stretching the reading out.
