CCKB compression check

Recommended Posts

I tried to do a compression check on my 4041 today and got different readings depending on how I did it. What is the right procedure to use? What is normal compression for a CCKB?

Not possitive but 90-120 will still develop good power. Compression should be checked with wide open throttle. StanD

When you crank over the engine and see the guage start up you'll stop cranking when the needle stops increaseing at a reasonable rate. You can keep cranking on it and increase it by a few pounds each time but that's stretching the reading out.
