Here is the link to the original thread. http://simpletractors.com/club2/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=60662#top With spring field work and them 2 weeks of wet weather the barnyard got a lttle out of hand.... BTW, the barnyard is about 1.5 acres

So I thought this would be a good opportunity to test one of the fiberglassed mower decks....

On a good FDT of course....:D:D HB-112 with 16 HP Briggs

Some tall grass

And stones and would chips and anything else that might be found in a barnyard.....

Not too bad for a 38 year old outfit.

This is what the deck looked like after I finished the barnyard and then cleaned it up, IMO not too bad for the first test....

Outstanding! ^ How well does the discharge deflector work? Is it correct to assume you made the deflector?

Roy, The deflector is factory and it works pretty good, even in tall grass.

How bad did the grass stick to the deck? What did you do to clean it off? Scrap it or just wash it down with a hose.

Dave, The grass stuck to the deck about the same as it does on metal, I blew it off with compressed air.

Mike, what is the IH in the background? 1086?

Mike, Why did you paint the deck "orange", if you are going to use it on a "yellow" tractor? Just wondering.

Rod, It was originally going to go on the 3314H but for now I am using it on the HB112. I will probably end up putting back on the 3314H.
