Quick question.

I have the 3210V I picked up last week, and the 2110 I have had for awhile. The 2110 has a locked motor, otherwise complete. The 3210V has a bad carb, wrong gas tank, cobbed together PTO and various other ailments. I am going to make one out of the 2, the question is which one gets put together??? Pro's and con's please..

All things being equal... Check the variable speed pulleys to see if they're worn really bad around the pins that the sheaves slide in and out on. Make sure they're not frozen and will move. Check that BGB for play -- the crossshaft is different than the straight gear drives. If these things check out, I'd vote for the variable if the primary use will be mowing and such. It's a "poor man's hydro" where the speed control really comes in handy. Otherwise, if you plan to use it with a moldboard plow or tiller, I'd vote for the straight gear drive, which you can "gear down" with pulley/belt sizes if you want, and will put more power to the ground...
