KSever Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 Maybe that was the Kohler that went bad in this tractor and this mailbox was the only good use they could find for this John Deere.
Marty-MN Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 :) All that comes to mind is "Nothing Runs Like a Deere". Good example :D
firefoxz1 Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 Cool, but it's at a JohnDeere office/plant so what would you expect.
Bunky Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 Maybe they had some Mailbox vandals around that neighborhood so they wanted something strong to protect there mail box...8D

mowerman1193 Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 quote:Originally posted by Bunky Maybe they had some Mailbox vandals around that neighborhood so they wanted something strong to protect there mail box...8D Seems like they would use something a little stronger than that then..Wouldn't take much to bust up the plastic body panels..But you know if they didn't have any sence not to own one of those green tractors they probably didn't think of the plastic busting easily either..:D:D[:0]:p
goatfarmer Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 There's a lot of parts on that mailbox that would sell on EBay! That reminds me of a farm equipment dealer about an hour south of here. They have a Avco New Idea combine,up on a 15 ft or so pole.
jjouelle Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 There's a semi-tractor dealer around Greencastle, PA that put a complete truck and box trailer 40 feet up in the air! As you go by on rt 81 it's way up there.
SmilinSam Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 quote:Originally posted by goatfarmer There's a lot of parts on that mailbox that would sell on EBay! Pull the hood, seat, wheels& tires, Side panels, grill..... Leave the rest for the mailman;)
Chris727 Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 Even though its a deere, its a waste of a collectable tractor. Kind of reminds me of the story of the gal who wouldn't sell an old 60's Landlord because she wanted it to rot in her yard as a "decoration." I've seen some strange things in the air on Missouri Highways. On hwy 44 between St.Louis and Springfield a mobile home dealer had a whole trailer on a sign about 60 feet in the air.
KSever Posted June 7, 2006 Author Posted June 7, 2006 quote:Originally posted by Bunky Maybe they had some Mailbox vandals around that neighborhood so they wanted something strong to protect there mail box...8D That's a good idea for SmilinSam, then maybe they wouldn't blow it up with M80's
Scott Salmons Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Nothing runs like a deere, and nothing smells like a john!!
