millionstarnight Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 I have just purchased a Simplicity 4208 and have no idea if it is a quality item. I got a great deal on it. It runs great and everything operates well. Almost no rust. I'm thinking of getting some orange and cream paint and making it look really great. Any great paint suggestions for orange? Opinions greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Matt Winfield, Pa.
RayS Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 Although I am into the large frame tractors and don`t know much about yours. My neighbor has a 4212 and he has been using it for over 10 years, so they must be a desent tractor. You can get the paint in a spray can at a Simplicity dealer and I believe the color of yours is Powder Orange. Your best bet is to have it color matched at a paint supply house if you have access to a air compressor.
gregc Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 I have been using my 4212H for 18 years to do all my mowing. It's still in great shape. No telling how long it will last.
wasmeneh Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 I've got a 4211 H but when I broke a head bolt I put a 14 HP OHV in it. The only thing I don't like is the deck wheels, I prefer a full roller deck. I still use mine every week, Mike
goatfarmer Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 Great tractors for mowing, don't know how they perform in the snow, etc.
