jamers Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 Hi Guys, My petrol tank has split down the one side on my Simplicity 4108. Any ideas on repair, or the best place to get a new one. Cheers Jamer
RayS Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 If you have the part number it may still be available through a Simplicity dealer. You can also check if you have the number at this website. Since it is a newer tractor they may still be available. If you don`t have a parts manual you can get one from the Simplicity site. You may even try placing a add in the classifieds here or check eBay. http://www.jackssmallengines.com/ http://www.simplicitytechpubs.com/techpubsearch.php
TomSchmit Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 Some radiator repair shops will do fuel tank repair. Tom
wilm169 Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 I am guessing this is a plastic tank, I have seen poeple weld them with a wide tip sodering gun.
OldFarmTractor Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 I would do a temperary replacement and keep an eye on ebay for an exact replacement. I thought I saw a rolling stock 4100 series on ebay for a low price
Paul Morrissey Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 The tank has a new number of 1687038 and is a kit. Price is just over 60$. Still available from any Simplicity dealer. Patched tanks are not a good way to go Paul
