bobj Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Bought this recently from the original. He says definately Simplicity and purchased new around 1980. It's hydrostatic, electric front pto, has snaps or buckles to hold down hood. The decal is not correct. Engine is B&S single cyl, I think 16hp. ID Numbers are gone. Sure looks like Homelite T-16 made by Allis-Chalmers. I also have a 3314H with the older type trans. Many similarities, many differences. Can you help? pics attached Bob J.
Kent Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Allis-built Homelite is my guess... from the 1973 timeframe or so.... http://www.simpletractors.com/Main/homelite.htm
SmilinSam Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGgg!!!!!!!!!!! What a Gruesome thing to do to an AC built Homelite[:0][V] If he said he bought it new around 1980 either he or the dealer he got it from is a skilled liar .
Roy Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 Look at the bright side Sam. At least they didn't paint it JD green & yellow. :D
