Thats why I am looking for the tractor. My house is on a corner lot that intersects a state road with a local street. It's an ongoing contest between the state and the locals to see who can push more snow on my sidewalk.let me know if you find a tractor also.

I had the small elec-trac (E8?)and while it did cut the grass it had more than it's share of issues. I've always wanted to get one of the larger ones. They do come up on ebay every so often and there is a good news group for them. Good luck!

Scott, I know its a ways away but Michigan is nice this time of year. My buddy John Sayles 231-869-4777 has two and parts that he got when a starter shop went out of business. He's not doing anything with them and may want to sell them. I know that one appears to only need batteries to work and appears in excellent condition. Years ago my boss had one and used the dickens out of it he was an electrician and if I remember correct the only real problem he had was with the relay that controled forward and reverse would wear out if you went back and forth alot. He always felt you needed to run the batterys all the way down before recharge in order to get good battery life, I helped him push it more than once back to the charger. They are heavy and don't push easy. LOL

I had one of the larger units 20+ years ago. It had been flooded so you can guese what kind of condition the electrics were in. It could have been salvaged but the price of parts was incredible. It was a very sound design. I removed all the electrical stuff and converted it to a small hydrostaic drive setup useing the 4 speed gearbox with a hydro like the powermax's use thier 3 speed. It worked well as a tractor but I never put a eck on it. Just played around with the tractor some. Those were some of my beginning projects when I was younger and my limited fabrication abilities left a lot to be desired. Hope you find something useable. There was a snow cab for sale last year that couldn't get any interest and went cheap if I remember right.
